Daniel Sturridge signs for Turkish outfit Trabzonspor

Daniel Sturridge has completed his move to Turkish side Trabzonspor after putting pen to paper on a three-year deal with the club.

The Super Lig side announced the signing on Wednesday afternoon after pictures emerged of the striker wearing the club's shirt.

The 29-year-old leaves Liverpool after six years, where he made 160 appearances for the club.

Injuries hampered his latter years at Anfield, with the England international starting just five games in the Premier League last season.

Marseille, Eintracht Frankfurt, Real Betis and Atalanta have also expressed an interest in the player while Wayne Rooney's club DC United were among those willing to make him an offer in MLS.

Sturridge was recently cleared to play again after being handed a short ban for breaching betting rules.

Aston Villa were among the Premier League sides to ask about him earlier this summer.
