Headteacher who asked mums to stop making school run in pyjamas called an "over-paid prostitute" by angry parents } Mirror

A headteacher who wrote to mums and dads asking them to actually bother to get dressed properly when they take their kids to school has revealed one parent called her an "over-paid prostitute".

Headteacher Kate Chisholm sparked a national debate after sending a letter home telling mums and dads to smarten up when dropping off or picking up pupils.

The warning was sent after she "noticed an increasing tendency for parents to escort children while still wearing their pyjamas and, on occasion, even slippers".

Instead of taking her advice to heart, many of the parents became extremely angry, branding her a "snob" and, viciously, a "failed fat supermodel".

She told the Sun: "Both times this was parents saying this to me in front of their kids.

"If I want to have a word with the parent about a discipline issue, say, some parents have shouted at me, they’ve sworn at me, they’ve told me that I don’t know what I am talking about."

Sickeningly, one parent told the educator they hoped she was barren "because if you have children, they’ll be the spawn of the devil".

Ms Chisholm defended her actions, saying: "Some parents turned up in pyjamas to see their children in the Christmas performances and for parents' evening.
