They grow up so fast! Princess Charlotte told the world she’s already a big girl on her first birthday, by showing everyone she can walk! How proud are her mom and dad?

What better way to celebrate your first birthday than with your first steps? The precious photos of Princess Charlotte released on May 1 in honor of her big day show the pint-sized royal taking some cautious, but confident steps, just like her dad Prince William has bragged about!

Look at this girl go! Princess Charlotte is on the move, and as all parents know, there’s no stopping her from here! All of the photos Kate posted are so sweet, especially because you can see how hard Charlotte is trying to get up and walk — but mom’s making her sit still!


In one sweet photo, Charlotte, all decked out in a pretty pink outfit (including tights and a bow!), happily pushes along a toy cart full of blocks while out in a field.

Her beloved dog, Lupo, is playing in the background; we bet it’s only a matter of time before she’s able to run around with him on her own!

We’re still gushing over these brand-new portraits of the little princess, and can’t believe how much she’s grown since her first royal photo was unveiled in June 2015! She really is a natural in front of the camera, don’t you think? Charlotte even posed for her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth‘s 90th birthday portrait with her bother and cousins on April 20! We can’t wait to see her portraits as a big two-year-old!
