Two killed in another suicide attack in Maiduguri


Two persons were killed on Wednesday night in a suicide bomb attack in Maiduguri, Punch reports.

The spokesman for the Borno State Police Command, Victor Isuku, told journalists on Wednesday.

Isuku said, “At about 2106hrs of 23/11/2016 (Wednesday), an explosion occurred at Muna garage  along Gamboru Ngala road Maiduguri.

“Two persons including the suicide bomber died on the spot, while a Mercedes Benz car with registration number, AX 571 ABJ which was parked by the road side was damaged by the impact of the explosion.”



He said normalcy had already been restored.

The bang which was heard in many parts of the troubled town made many to sleep in fear.

This is happening four days after troops shot dead a suicide bomber who attempted to penetrate a Transit Camp of Internally Displaced People along Muna Garage in Maiduguri, Borno state according to News24.

The security operatives suspected the the strange behaviour of the suicide bomber and accosted him.
