Ant McPartlin looks happy and healthy as he's joined by a female companion for shopping trip at Harrods in London

Former Hollyoaks actor Jeremy Edwards recently expressed his concern for him, noting that he has 'had enough' of the TV world.

But Ant McPartlin, 42, looked in high spirits as he was seen indulging in a spot of retail therapy at Harrods, Knightbridge on Friday. 

The embattled TV presenter was joined by a female friend as they emerged from the famous luxury department story and headed to an awaiting vehicle.  

Ant proved to be casually clad for the outing, opting for a navy top and beige-coloured trousers. 

He looked happy and healthy while heading to the car, hot on the heels of his companion who was joined by two young children. 

His casual sighting comes after former Hollyoaks actor Jeremy Edwards experessed concern that Ant has 'had enough' of the TV world, and could leave Dec to host solo from now on.

Jeremy, 47, wrote on Twitter: 'I love Dec on his own, gentle delivery, more grown up. Obvs I love Ant but maybe it’s simply time? For both their sakes.'

After receiving a comment which argued the pair couldn't go their separate ways, the actor responded: 'I’m just worried Ant has had enough but keeps going for his mate. Dec is obviously v comfortable. I love them both'.

He also claimed to have gotten to know both presenters, and said that Dec Donnelly had a more outgoing personality than Ant.

Jeremy wrote: 'I know them both over the years and Dec was always the more confident. Both equally lovely but Ant a bit shy'.
