Vicky Pattison says her 'heart is broken'

Vicky Pattison's best friend Paul Burns has passed away suddenly aged 37.

The 30-year-old reality star took to Instagram on Monday to share a touching tribute to her 'best friend, oldest friend and one of the most amazing people', as she branded the past days 'a nightmare' in a heartbreaking message.

The devastating news spread on social media on Saturday with stars ofGeordie Shore, including Charlotte Crosby and Kyle Christie, paying homage to the nightclub and events manager, as he was dubbed 'a beautiful human being'.

Vicky's Instagram has often been littered with snaps of Paul, and vice versa, and on Friday she took to the photosharing site to post an image as she celebrated Paul's birthday, while adding a sweet caption in tribute to her pal.

She penned: 'Celebrating this amazing ones birthday a little bit late but oh so well with the help of @dessertsdeliveredbakery!! This Nutella cake literally blew everyone away!! THANKYOU so much!! @mrpaulburns1- love you forever'.

She waited two days before posting a tribute, as she penned: 'I don’t know what to post. I don’t know what to say. But this seemed fitting. you are my best friend, my oldest friend and one of the most amazing people in the world...

'My heart is broken. I know I will never get over losing you and this still doesn’t feel real- I’m desperately just waiting for the moment I wake up from this nightmare...
