They are one of Hollywood's great love stories.
And Catherine Zeta-Jones was feeling nostalgic for the early chapters of her romance with husband Michael Douglas as she took to Instagram on Friday night to share a stunning snap of the first night they met.
Posting the image for her 1.4million followers to enjoy, she gazed adoringly at the handsome actor, who is 35 years her senior, while they put on a glamorous display at the Deauville Film Festival 20 years previously.
In the stunning snap, a youthful Catherine gazed upon her future husband while looking sensational in a sexy black strapless dress.
She added a caption on the shot reading: 'Meeting my husband for the first time at the Deauville Film Festival. Can’t remember what he was talking about'.
Dashing Michael, 73, first met 48-year-old Welsh beauty Catherine at the French film festival when they were introduced by mutual friend Danny DeVito in 1998, shortly before he famously told her: 'I want to father your children.'
According to Hollywood legend, smitten Michael orchestrated the meet and arranged to sit by the Chicago star who was at the festival promoting Mask of Zorro, and his shock line seemed to work as they married two years later
