They have recently seen their eldest child Dani Dyer being crowned Love Island winner alongside beau Jack Fincham.
And Danny Dyer has now confessed that it was his daughter, who at the tender age of three, brought him back together with his wife Joanne Mas after they separated.
The EastEnders actor, 41, admitted that during their time apart they 'began having an affair and were sneaking around like schoolkids' before finally deciding to give their romance another go for the sake of Dani.
Speaking candidly to The Sunday Times Magazine, Danny explained that his relationship with Joanne fell apart due their young.
Danny explained: 'I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t a dad. Me and Joanne had Dani when I was 18 and . . . f***ing hell, we were kids!'
The pair went on to split when Dani was only three years old and started seeing other people.
However, it wasn't long before the actor found himself back in the arms of Joanne, admitting that he did 'everything in his power' to spend more time with her and Dani.
Danny explained: 'I don’t know if Joanne saw how much I missed ’em, but the visits started getting longer and we’d sit down with a cup of tea.
'Next minute... we’re having an affair. I said: 'F*** this! We’re sneaking around like schoolkids. We’ve got a beautiful girl. Let’s give it a go".'
Joanne and Danny have been together since 1992 and only tied the knot in September of 2016.
