Heartbroken Paul Chuckle's tears for brother Barry

Paul Chuckle wiped tears from his eyes today as he carried the coffin for his late brother Barry's funeral this afternoon, with a note saying: 'Miss you, Baz'.

Barry, 73, name Barry Elliott, died a fortnight ago on August 5 after finding fame performing alongside Paul on the BBC as comedy duo the Chuckle Brothers.

The funeral for Barry is taking place at the New York Stadium in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, and hundreds of fans of the legendary comedian gathered outside and applauded as the cortege arrived today.

The crowds of well-wishers and fans cried out the Chuckle Brothers' famous catchphrase 'To me, to you' at the stadium - the home of Rotherham United FC, of which Barry and Paul were honorary life presidents.

Among the mourners who gathered today was 86-year-old fan Barbra Gamston, who arrived on a mobility scooter with the sign: 'To a Yorkshire lad from a Yorkshire lass. Goodbye, from me to you. RIP xxx.'

Ms Gamston said she had come to the stadium to support Paul, adding: 'I'd also like to watch him go because he has been such a big thing for Rotherham and everywhere by making people happy.

'I've got three generations which have grown up with them.  So one by one, they've all watched them. So I've been involved anyway, whether I wanted to watch them or not.'

Crackerjack star Don Maclean, Maureen and Linda Nolan and former EastEnders actor John Altman all arrived for the funeral this afternoon as they were watched by the hundreds of fans who had turned up to pay their respects.
