Mollie King and Matt Edmondson are a big hit with fans

They're currently on their annual break from the hit ITV chat show as they enjoy their summer holidays.

Yet This Morning fans still got their fix of hosts, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, thanks to guest presenters, Mollie King and Matt Edmondson, on Friday's episode. 

The singer, 31, and comedian, 32, stepped in to host the show on Friday as Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford take over the Monday to Thursday show. 

And despite fans confused as to who the duo were at first, they were soon won over and even compared them to a 'young Holly and Phil'. 

Taking to Twitter, show watchers shared their praise over the two presenters and their uncanny resemblance to the usual award-winning hosts.  

One person said: '#breakingnews #thismorning Holly&Phil have a time machine.'


A different user put: 'Matt & Molly are like younger versions of Phil & Holly... #thismorning love them hosting.'

Another show watcher commented: 'Have Phil and Holly gone through a time warp? #MattnMolly #ThisMorning.'

While a different fan added: 'How good are Matt & Mollie at This Morning? Best duo since Phil & Holly #ThisMorning.'

Mollie and Matt had quite the eventful episode as they ate bugs and crickets live on air, as well as having their dreams analysed by a dream expert.
