But newlywed Priyanka Chopra, 36, joked the 'party don't stop' as she posed with Nick Jonas, 26, in a sweet snap from their second, 'more personal', reception in Mumbai on Wednesday.
The actress looked sensational in a flowing blue dress with a golden floral pattern as she gazed lovingly at her new husband in an image posted to her Instagram account on Thursday morning.
The Quantico star dazzled in a huge sparkling necklace by Sabyasachi Mukherji for the couple's second reception, and completed the look with several bracelets and bangles.
According to India Today, Priyanka's earrings were from Sabyasachi's Heritage collection, which recreates opulent vintage pieces.
In a speech at the ceremony, which was uploaded to social media, Priyanka thanked her family and friends for attending the bash.
She said: 'I'm gonna take your attention for two seconds. It means so much to us that all of you came tonight.
'This has been an extremely special chapter in my life and I wanted my husband to meet all the special people who have contributed to it.
'So thank you very much being here, friends of my parents, my dad who I know is here. Thank you very much for coming and I hope you have a wonderful time tonight.'
Nick then took the microphone and told the crowd about the day he went out to lunch with Priyanka's mother to ask her permission to propose to her daughter.
He said: 'This is my first show in India. Thank you all so very much for coming out. It wasn't too far from here that I took Madhu [Priyanka's mother] out to lunch and asked her if I could marry her daughter.
'So to be here tonight with all of you, the people who have helped shape who she has become means the world to me. To be embraced with such open arms it's just unbelievable.'
