Pregnant Stacey Solomon broke down on Loose Women on Friday as she discussed her baby news, just hours after announced she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Joe Swash - her third overall and his second. 

Speaking on the show about why they kept their news secret for so long, she said: 'We felt it was important to keep it for ourselves until we felt really safe, and that first and foremost, we didn't find out until a certain point... 

'Then we had to let our family know, and then there's that when you think it is the right time to tell people you kind of want to keep it just ours.'

Sharing a snap on Instagram of her ultrasound on Friday morning, she added a caption reading: 'Every time I go to write anything I sob so... what he said'.

Joe shares son Harry, 11, with ex Emma Sophocleous while Stacey is mother to Zachary, 10, with Dean Cox and Leighton, six, with Aaron Barham.

Joe was brought on to Loose Women, where he added: 'It's brilliant I'm really chuffed it's just nice to have the secret out...

'It's been quiet for so long and we're so excited, it's nice we can breathe a little bit and let people know, my sister's just had a baby so we've been cooing over this.'
