So naturally the stars were out in force on Thursday as a host of enamoured couples paid tribute to one another in sweet posts in a nod to their significant others - much to the delight of fans.
Leading the way was David and Victoria Beckham who shared shots of their tokens of esteem while Love Island victors Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham remained defiant over their questionable romance status with a sweet post.
The Beckhams were flooding social media with details of how they celebrate the big day, as Victoria posted a video of her various vases of flowers with the caption: 'Valentine's kisses from my babies x'.
While she did not post details of David's gifts, she did share shots of what she had received from their seven-year-old daughter Harper, who had written sweet cards and given bracelets to her mum and dad.
David and Victoria married on July 4 1999 at Luttrellstown Castle, just outside Dublin, when he had just won the treble with Manchester United and Victoria was a global icon with The Spice Girls.
