The fvck you challenge keeps on getting sizzling as more artistes have brought their covers to the never-ending list of covers. The song also started the #FvckYouSeason movement where people came out to express displeasure about various issues. Escape club CEO, Richard Nnadi and Video Director, Unlimited LA both threatened to expose celebrates owing them. Male artistes like Vector, Dremo, Falz e.t.c drop their covers but the song was lacking a woman’s touch. Kizz Daniel then urged female artistes to also release their own versions of the song. Simi, Tiwa Savage participated and both covers had tongues wagging. Tiwa’s cover had us thinking she was dissing her ex-husband TeeBillz. She later came out to clear the air about such rumors. Simi”s cover also had some belittling remarks about people with tribal marks of which she later apologized for.
However, what has us really talking is Seyi Shay’s cover but hey It’s the Fvck you season so all we can do is to expect the unexpected.
“Hmmmmmm this fvck you challenge, is it only guys against girls and girls against guys?? There are some girls that need to be corrected”. The song originally talks about Kizz Daniel exposing his unfaithful lover and her escapdes. One would think Seyi as a female would direct her lines to the males but she had us shook as her lines insinuate that she is referring to a female.
In her one minute video she dishes out these lines “You say you be my sister but you wan collect my lover, you be deceiver olofofo ati robber nah why I no dey fuck with you anymore, I no get time for you anymore. You know I’m not Savage I pay my Bills You no go see my name for the escape oo. As olosho don be your hobby, you come dey use fork lift their hubby”
We all know that Seyi Shay and Wizkid were really close some years back so this could mean that Seyi is still quite pained as Wizkid and Tiwa Savage are really close now. She also further insinuates that Tiwa Savage could be one of the many celebrities owing Escape club owner Richard Nnandi.
At the end of the song, Seyi could be heard calling the names of other female artistes like Teni, Simi, Asa and so on. . So is it safe to say that Seyi’s cover is a direct diss at Tiwa Savage?
