Maurizio Sarri prepares to kick-start Bianconeri project with transfer race 'between Paul Pogba, Adrien Rabiot and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic'

Maurizio Sarri is preparing to oversee wholesale changes in Turin after agreeing terms with Juventus and outlining his transfer targets, according to the Italian press.

The Serie A champions finally agreed compensation with Chelsea to release him from his Stamford Bridge contract this week, with the Italian side agreeing to fork out £7million for Sarri's services.

Confirmation of his appointment does not appear far away as the former Napoli boss has now agreed terms with Juventus, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The sports daily write that Sarri has agreed a contract until 2022, while Tuttosport concur that a contract agreement has been reached.

Tuttosport write 'it's Sarri's Juventus' and that a meeting took place on Friday between Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici and Sarri's agent Fali Ramadani in Milan.

Paratici had been in London on Thursday to iron out compensation terms with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia, before flying back to Italy to complete the signing of the Old Lady's new manager.

Tuttosport add that the former Napoli boss is wasting no time in ahead of the new season, immediately discussing the club's transfer strategy.

The Sarri project will 'seek reinforcements in every area', with midfield recruitment becoming a 'race between Paul Pogba, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Adrien Rabiot.

Italian prodigies Nicolo Zaniola of Roma and Federico Chiesa of Fiorentina are also on the Sarri-ball watchlist, while a move for Inter captain Mauro Icardi reportedly remains an option.

Sarri secured his first major trophy as a coach with the Blues last season, winning the Europa League thanks to a 4-1 win over Arsenal in Baku last month.

Juventus will prove to be a whole new challenge for the Italian coach, having won Serie A in each of their last eight seasons.
