Rodgers Arusei fired a bullet into his chest shortly after arriving at work. The 6:30am incident happened at the station’s reporting desk.
Kisii County Police Commander, Jebel Munene, told K24 Digital that they were yet to establish the cause of Arusei’s suicidal ideation, given he

Other police officers who were away from the reporting desk heard a gunshot sound, and upon rushing to the scene, they found Arusei lying unconscious on the floor, with blood gushing from his chest.
Arusei’s body was taken to a Kisii hospital mortuary. Investigations into his death have begun, says county police boss, Munene.
