COVID-19 death toll in Delta increases after three new cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced three (3) new COVID-19 related deaths for Delta State, increasing the state’s coronavirus death toll to 20.

NCDC disclosed this on Tuesday in its COVID-19 Situation Report for June 22.

According to the NCDC, seven (7) new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in five states.

Delta has three, while Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Ogun, and Kano recorded one death each.

NCDC disclosed that Delta State also recorded 31 new COVID-19 infections, increasing its total number of confirmed cases to 532.
  

The state, however, recorded six new recoveries on the reported day.

The number of discharged patients recorded for the state is now 130.

Meanwhile, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria as of the 23rd of June stands at 20,919.
