EndSARS: Police Prevent Family Members And Media From Entering Court For Eromosele Adene’s Trial (Video)

On Tuesday November 17, officials of the Police force reportedly prevented the media and family members of Eromosele Adene from entering the Yaba Magistrates Court where his case was to be heard.

Channels TV reported that they observed that the Police had used their vehicle to create a barricade on the street leading into the court.

In a video shared online, some family members were also seen confronting some officers over their refusal to allow them into the courtroom. A woman said she was already inside and she just came out to meet someone, only to be prevented from going back in, whereas her belongings were inside.

Eromosele was arrested in Lagos on November 7, before being whisked to Abuja for interrogation. He was returned to Lagos on Sunday evening to face charges of criminal incitement, cyber stalking, provoking breach of public peace and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.

This is coming amid allegation of the police seeking to detain him for 30 more days and secretly meeting the magistrate without Eromosele's lawyer's consent.
