How The Queen Actress Nambitha Ben Mazwai Owned 2020

 


Former The Queen, Scandal, and Broken Vows actress; Nambitha Ben Mazwai has been raising the bar with her acting prowess since she starred in Mzansi Magic’s drama series; Doubt, which catapulted her acting to higher heights.

The actress recently received an international award at the annual (PWOW Awards) Panache Women Of Wonder Awards. The awards focus on recognizing 50 strong women who are making a mark in their respective crafts. 

The actress took to Instagram to gush about the exciting news:


“Off to fetch an international award! Lady Nam has been chosen as the recipient of the 6th annual international Women of Wonder awards. Honored is an understatement. Being recognized globally as a woman of excellence and for my work in women empowerment is truly the confirmation I needed in my calling and purpose in leaving a legacy.” 

The actress also recently starred in The Queen and fans loved her! She has revealed that she is currently appearing in three Netflix shows. Diamond City which has just been licensed by Netflix SA and is streaming across 190 countries, How to ruin Christmas: The Wedding and Black Mirror.  

She plays the role of Refiloe in How to ruin Christmas: The Wedding where she acts as one of Beauty’s bridesmaids.
The award-winning actress recently revealed that she went under the knife, after being diagnosed with stage 1 of endometriosis.

The actress revealed on the 25th of May that she went through a number of surgeries and her recovery has not been smooth sailing.

“I underwent emergency surgery. A number of procedures were done, above and beyond being diagnosed with stage 1 endometriosis.” “It’s been a whirlwind of emotions, leading up to the surgery and finding out the news. The recovery hasn’t been smooth sailing, but now I am in a much better place. A more peaceful place and am surrounded only with love,” she wrote.


Mazwai who was teased for her dark complexion is using that experience to educate other young girls to be comfortable in their skin today.
