Mutare Madzibaba Nabbed After Being Found With Juju Snake In His Bag
A 28-year-old Mutare based Madzibaba was arrested by CID Marondera after being found in possession of a Rinkal Cobra.
Madzibaba Maxwell Muguta was arrested at Mukuti business centre at the 60km peg along the Harare Mutare highway looking for transport to Mutare after police received a tip off.
ZBC reports that upon questioning, he revealed that he had bought it for $US70 from a traditional healer known as Magorimbo from Seke intending to use it for ritual purposes.
Madzibaba Muguta is in custody at CID Marondera assisting detectives with investigations and will appear in court soon.
In other news, iHarare had reported that a healing session went wrong for a self-proclaimed prophet after he was nabbed for using a python to fake exorcism.
Chusi Bhunu (31) of Village 2, Binje farm, Doma in Mhangura was recently dragged to court for illegal possession of a two-meter-long African rock python that he used as part of his paraphernalia to fake exorcisms.
He was charged under Section 45 (1)(b) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act, which relates to “found in possession of specially protected animal species without a permit.”
It is in the States case that on 3 May this year Bhunu, who is also a member of the Bible Fellowship Apostolic Ministry, was approached by Farai Makumbi who was seeking prophetic healing for his sick wife, Neria Makumbi.
On the same date, at around 8 pm, Bhunu proceeded to Makumbi’s homestead at Plot 47, Jechenene, Doma in Mhangura to perform a healing session for the ailing woman.
The court heard that Bhunu was carrying on his back a black traveler’s bag when he went to Makumbi’s house to heal his wife.
