COVID-19: Nigeria Records More Deaths, Over 444 Fresh Cases In 20 States, FCT


 It has been announced by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, that 444 cases of coronavirus in 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.


NCDC, while giving update on its verified Facebook page on Saturday morning, said seven patients died due to complications from the dreaded virus.

It noted that Edo State recorded 71 cases followed by Akwa-Ibom 49 cases, Kwara and Oyo had 49 each, while Kaduna recorded 21 cases.

Further details revealed that Ekiti (20), FCT (19), Anambra (17), Delta (16), Kano (16), Bauchi (14), Ogun (11), Bayelsa (9), Benue (9), Cross River (7), Nasarawa (5), Jigawa , Zamfara 2 each and Enugu 1 respectively.
 

So far, Nigeria has recorded 194,088 cases of the disease since its outbreak in 2020.

The Public Health Agency said that 433 patients were treated, recovered and discharged from isolation centers across the country on Friday while a total of 2,494 death have been recorded.
