Insecurity: Gunmen Kill Motorcyclist After Collecting N30,000 Ransom In Kaduna

Some gunmen who are suspected to be bandits have killed a motorcycle rider in Kwoi, Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The gunmen had abducted the okada rider and demanded for a ransom of N30,000.

A source told DAILY POST in Kaduna on the condition of anonymity that the deceased friends had helped him to contribute the money, thinking he will be released, but they later found his corpse in a bush close to the community.

“He was kidnapped on 13/01/2022 in Kwoi. His friends were forced to contribute the ransom to secure his release but the bandits still refused to release him after receiving the money. They later killed him.”

Confirming the incident, district head of the community, Mr. Yunusa Idris said, “as soon as the friends contributed the money for his release, everybody in the community was expecting him, but his corpse was discovered.

“The N30,000 ransom they demanded was paid by his friends but was not released because they (bandits) demanded more money which, was not paid,” he said

ASP Mohammed Jalige, Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer did not pick his calls and also, did not respond to text message sent to him.
