War: We see, feel it – Zelensky sends message to US

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said his country appreciates the unprecedented assistance it gets from the United States and President Joe Biden.

Zelensky met with the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken and US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on Sunday.

After the meeting, Zelensky’s office issued a statement following a meeting in Kyiv.

“I would like to thank President Biden personally and on behalf of the entire Ukrainian people for his leadership in supporting Ukraine, for his personal clear position.

“To thank all the American people, as well as the Congress for their bicameral and bipartisan support. We see it. We feel it.”

Zelensky also discussed strengthening US sanctions on Russia, the statement said.

“We understand what the next steps on this track should be. And we count on the support of our partners,” Zelensky said, according to the statement

Meanwhile, the British Government has promised to provide all the assistance Ukraine could be needing to win the ongoing war.

UK Minister Boris Johnson, made the promise while saying that Russia has a “realistic possibility” of winning the war in Ukraine.

Johnson said the situation in Ukraine is “unpredictable” at the moment, pointing out that Russian President Vladimir Putin has a “huge army.”
