Abia North senator, Orji Uzor Kalu has said that the coalition of opposition politicians, aimed at defeating President Bola Tinubu in 2027, is not what Nigerians need. Kalu, who spoke in his country home, Igbere on Tuesday, said Nigerians are in need of a leader who will revamp the economy and provide food for them, not coalition.
He said that the President has done very well so far and deserves the support of all Nigerians for a second term. According to him, the coalition will not stop the President from being reelected as his achievements would return him to Aso Rock.
While acknowledging that many Nigerians are suffering from hunger, Kalu said Tinubu is already addressing the situation with his naira stabilisation and other economic programs. “People are saying that they are building coalition. That is not what the people want.
“The masses need need a concrete evidence that the economy can be rebuilt, that there would be food on the table of every Nigerian. President Bola Tinubu is addressing the hunger in the land,” Kalu said.
