Admiralty University of Nigeria was established as a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) through the joint efforts of Nigerian Navy Holdings (a subsidiary organization of the Nigerian Navy) and Hellenic Education Nigeria (a private consultancy, with international educators as main partners). The objectives of the University are: to expand the frontiers of knowledge in various academic disciplines in Nigeria; to use University education as a tool towards development and the enhancement of human welfare; to meet the challenges of nation building in Nigeria; and to address the acute shortage of personnel in various sections of the economy in Nigeria.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
(i) PROFESSORS
- Must be a PhD degree holder in relevant fields with not less than 10 years of cognate teaching, research and administrative experience in the University system or Research Institute, including two years as a Reader.
- Must have sufficient numbers of admissible publications (18) in reputable, peer-reviewed academic journals with at least 75% in print and 12 must be in journal articles in the candidate’s discipline to be seen on Google Scholar.
- Previous involvement in University Administrative roles.
- Evidence of active participation in university committees and decision-making processes.
- Evidence of membership in relevant academic and professional bodies.
(ii) ASSOCIATE PROFESSORS/READERS
- A PhD degree holder in relevant fields with not less than 7 years of cognate teaching, research and administrative experience in the University system or Research Institute, including at least two years as a Senior Lecturer.
- Must have sufficient numbers of admissible publications (15) in reputable, peer-reviewed academic journals with at least 75% in print and 8 must be in journal articles in the candidate’s discipline to be seen on Google Scholar.
- Evidence of previous involvement in University Administrative roles.
- Evidence of membership in relevant academic and professional bodies.
(iii) SENIOR LECTURERS
- A PhD degree holder who has a minimum of five (5) years of cognate teaching and research experience in the University system or Research Institute, including two years as a Lecturer I.
- A sufficient number of admissible publications (8) in reputable journals totalling a minimum of 14 points out of a 46 points score.
- Teaching and Research experience, 8 Publications, 6 must be Journal articles, at least 75% in print.
- Previous involvement in University Administrative roles.
- Evidence of active participation in university Committees and decision-making processes.
- Evidence of membership in relevant academic and professional bodies.
(iv) LECTURER I
- A PhD degree holder who has a minimum of three (3) years of cognate teaching and research experience in the University system or Research Institute, including two years as a Lecturer II.
- A sufficient number of admissible publications (4) in reputable journals totalling a minimum of 6 points out of a 46 points score.
- Teaching and Research experience, 4 Publications, 3 must be Journal articles, at least 75% in print.
- Previous involvement in University Administrative roles.
- Evidence of active participation in university Committees and decision-making processes.
- Evidence of membership in relevant academic and professional bodies.
(v) LECTURER II
- A PhD degree holder or someone who has a minimum of three (3) years of cognate teaching and research experience in the university system or Research Institute, as an Assistant Lecturer.
- A sufficient number of admissible publications (2) in reputable journals totalling a minimum of 4 points out of a 46 points score.
- Teaching and Research experience, 2 Publications, 2 must be Journal articles, at least 75% in print.
- Previous involvement in University Administrative roles.
- Evidence of active participation in university Committees and decision-making processes.
- Evidence of membership in relevant academic and professional bodies.
(vi) ASSISTANT LECTURERS
- A Master’s degree holder
- Readiness to be involved in University Administrative roles.
- Readiness in active participation in University Committees
- Evidence of membership in relevant academic and professional bodies
