The Ghana Armed Forces has released the names of those who lost their lives in a tragic helicopter crash on Wednesday morning. The Z-9 helicopter, owned by the Ghana Armed Forces, lost contact while en route from Accra to Obuasi, a southern gold-mining town, for an official assignment.

Ghanaian President John Mahama described the crash as a national tragedy and suspended all official engagements upon receiving the news. He ordered national flags to be flown at half-mast in honour of the fallen officers.

- *5. Samuel Aboagye*: Former parliamentary candidate
- *6. Peter Baafemi Anala*: Squadron Leader
- *7. Manaen Twum Ampadu*: Flying Officer
- *8. Ernest Addo*: Sergeant
# Condolences
President Bola Tinubu condoled with the Ghanaian nation, urging the bereaved families to find comfort in the knowledge that their loved ones died in the line of patriotic service to the country.
