Fuji music legend Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, aka KWAM1, has issued a public apology following a scuffle at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on August 5, 2025. The incident occurred when a flight attendant suspected KWAM1 was drinking from a flask while boarding a ValueJet flight, leading to a plane delay and a six-month flying ban.

In a statement, KWAM1 denied the flask contained alcohol, explaining it held water due to his chronic dehydration condition. He emphasized the flask was empty during security checks and filled with water in the lounge, a fact supported by CCTV footage.

KWAM1 apologized for any disruption caused, stressing it was never his intention to break aviation rules or cause disturbance. He highlighted his patriotism, loyalty to Nigeria, and role as a global ambassador of Nigerian music and culture.
