Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has reassured residents of his unwavering commitment to strengthening the bond between his administration and the people, pledging to continue working in their best interest.
Fubara, who officially returned to office following the end of the six-month emergency rule in the state, expressed deep gratitude to Rivers people for what he described as an overwhelming display of solidarity.
Speaking to journalists shortly after inspecting sections of the Government House alongside his wife, the governor said the warm welcome he received both at the airport and in Port Harcourt was a powerful reaffirmation of trust in his leadership.
“I am really humbled by what I saw at the Airport. I was also briefed with pictures of what happened here yesterday,” Fubara said. “Your reception humbled me because it shows love, confidence, and solidarity.”
He noted that the celebrations went beyond large turnouts, describing them as a renewed expression of confidence in his administration’s vision. The governor further assured residents that his government will continue to deliver policies and projects that directly impact lives across the state.
Fubara also extended appreciation to stakeholders, institutions, and security authorities who contributed to the restoration of normalcy during the crisis, stressing that his administration remains committed to peace, stability, and sustainable development in Rivers State.
