Senator Ned Nwoko beat, smashed Regina Daniels’s head, brother-in-law Sammy West cries out

 

Oct. 18 — Sammy West, the brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has accused her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of assaulting her and sending thugs to attack her, following the emergence of a viral video showing the actress visibly distressed.

In a series of Instagram posts on Saturday, West claimed that Nwoko allegedly beat Daniels and smashed her head against a wall. He also vowed to continue speaking out against domestic violence.

“Makachi! It pains me that you all want to laugh at my sister. Let me repeat: anywhere a man beats a woman — whether she’s my sister or not — I’ll fight with my blood,” he wrote.

“Senator Ned Nwoko, you’re lucky you ran away after beating my sister again, smashing her head on the wall, and sending thugs. I swear, I would have broken your jaw,” he added.

Viral Video Shows Actress in Distress

West’s post came shortly after a video surfaced online showing Regina Daniels in distress after being confronted by a group of men she alleged were sent by her husband.

In the clip, the actress appeared visibly shaken, breathing heavily as bystanders tried to calm her down and poured water on her head.

She was repeatedly heard saying, “Ned sent his thugs,” while gasping for breath.
At one point, she added:

“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I’m nothing. But in my house, I’m a queen. I can’t stand the violence again; it’s too much.”

West was also captured confronting a man during the altercation, apparently in an attempt to defend his sister.

No Response from Nwoko

Efforts by Peoples Gazette to reach Senator Nwoko for comment were unsuccessful. His phone line was reportedly busy, and messages sent via WhatsApp were not answered as of press time.

Marital Tension and Past Speculation

The alleged incident comes months after Senator Nwoko publicly dismissed speculation that his marriage to the actress had collapsed.

In March, while marking their sixth wedding anniversary, Nwoko wrote on Instagram:

“Let them talk, let them guess. While we live, while we bless, for at the end, when curtains close, it’s us, my love, that victory knows.”

Rumors of a split began circulating in February, after Daniels removed her husband’s name from her Instagram bio and deleted several of his pictures from her page.

When she later returned to the platform, she appeared to subtly address critics with a post captioned:

“Don’t comment if you’ve never cried in a Ferrari before,”
accompanied by a photo of herself posing beside a luxury car.
