A cowboy builder is accused of leaving a family homeless after he pocketed their entire life savings and left their property 'uninhabitable'.

Guy and Katie Wakeling paid workman Dave Sutton £25,000 to renovate their semi-detached bungalow in Much Hoole, near Preston in Lancashire, after looking online for a reputable firm.
But when he downed tools after suffering from a 'bad back', inspectors called in to look at the house branded it a 'disaster' and told the couple it is unsafe for them and their two children to live there.
