Fowl thief, others regain freedom in Edo

An alleged fowl thief, Clement Omonoye, and seven other inmates at the Benin Central Prison have been granted freedom by the Edo State Justice Committee.

The inmates were released on Thursday during a visit of the committee, led by its Chairman and state Chief Judge, Justice Cromwell  Idahosa, ‎to the prison facility on Sapele Road.

Omonoye was released on health grounds, having been diagnosed of ulcer.

Others were Ufuoma Peter, Lucky Edafe, Blessing Joel, Jennifer Lucky and Phillips Kings, who was also released on account of his poor health.
