Yeah, we’re swiping left on Tinder for this one. The app suffered a devastating glitch on Monday, March 14 that resulted in user’s matches with potential significant others, and let’s be honest, hookups, totally deleted! What were lovelorn Tinder users to do?
The dilemma started in the afternoon, when some people weren’t able to log into their Tinder accounts. Annoying, but not the end of the world. But then, the unthinkable happened. What the hell happened to everyone’s hard-earned matches? Countless hours of browsing the app, chatting up cuties and making plans were gone, gone forever! Yes, even message histories were deleted!

Tinder took to its Twitter to assure their panicking users that the glitch was only temporary, and that their potential loves would be back in their lives shortly. But their message only incited a massive freakout! Distraught Tinderites flooded Twitter with their pleas to get their matches back — they really didn’t appreciate people telling them to just go out into the world and meet people the old fashioned way, okay?We're back! Their pain was truly heartbreaking. @Tinder My matches are gone & I was talking to a total babe,” one man tweeted. “@Tinder mate. I nearly just secured a bang,” tweeted another. A moment of silence for our fallen brethren, please. It all worked out in the end, don’t you worry! The hours-long national nightmare was over when Tinder posted the same night that the glitch had been solved; everyone just needed to log back into the app again, and all of their data would be there!
