‘Beware Of #Fraudsters’ – #NDLEA Warns #Nigerians Against #Recruitment Scam - 360NOBS

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has cautioned Nigerians to beware of fraudsters claiming to be recruiting on behalf of the agency.
The warning was conveyed on Wednesday by the Head of Public Affairs, NDLEA, Mr Mitchell Ofoyeju, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
According to him, the agency does not recruit its officers secretly, even as he lamented that many desperate Nigerians had been victims of such fraudsters.
He said: “We are not recruiting yet. If we want to do so, we do it openly.
The public should beware of fraudsters claiming to be NDLEA recruiting agents.
“Unfortunately, many people have been duped by these fraudsters. Some victims claimed they paid between N30,000 and N70,000 to them.
“People should always ask questions from those in authority before applying for anything.”
In a related development, the NDLEA has arraigned four Mexicans and five Nigerians for allegedly operating a laboratory for the illicit production of hard drugs (methamphetamine) in Asaba, Delta State.
The accused persons were brought before Justice A.O. Faji of the Federal High Court, Asaba to answer to a five-count charge of conspiracy to form and operate a Drug Trafficking Organizations (DTO) to process and export methamphetamine.
In his ruling today, Justice Faji remanded the accused in prison custody and adjourned the case to May 13, 2016.
