Named: Brit family who were viciously beaten unconscious by 'drunk' Thai thugs who kicked woman's head like a #football - TheSun

THE British family who were left sprawled unconscious on a Thai street after a vicious attack by a criminal gang have been named.

Scots Lewis and Rosemary Owen, aged 65 and 68, and their son John Owen, 43, were filmed being savagely beaten by the thugs on a busy tourist promenade.

The couple are reported to be preparing to return to the UK, while their son has travelled back to Singapore, where we works.

Police in Thailand also paraded two of the men accused of the shocking attack in front of local media.

They were charged with grievous bodily harm after admitting they were "drunk" and were today named as Yingyai Kwangkum-in, 32, Supatra Baithong, 32, Siva Yoksri, 20, and Chaiya Jaiboon, 20.

The latter was still being hunted by detectives following the assault.

One regular in the bar the two parties had been drinking in claimed the Thai gang regularly target Western tourists.

The south east Asian country's tourism industry also hailed the local police for catching the suspects quickly.
