Leicester City lift the Premier League trophy after demolishing Everton at the King Power stadium

LEICESTER CITY have lifted the Premier League trophy on a day of celebration at the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes dismantled a ragged Everton side 3-1, with Jamie Vardy netting twice and missing a penalty, whilst club legend Andy King also bagged.

It was a day of deafening noise and wide smiles as Claudio Ranieri’s men played with the pomp and efficiency which has seemed them not only win the title, but run away with it.

Former non-league striker Vardy was unlucky not to get a hat-trick as Foxes fans danced in the May rain.

Vardy said: “This week we’ve trained exactly the same as we have done for every other week.

“There’s not been any change — we had a little celebration on Monday and that was as far as it went. But today we’ll have a celebration when we lift the trophy in front of our fans.
