Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa allegedly collapsed at the government house on Wednesday, reports Sahara Reporters.
Okowa was preparing to attend the World Teachers Day celebration at the cenotaph when the incident happened.
After all preparations were put in place, Okowa reportedly slumped over at his office preventing his attendance.
The governor was immediately whisked away from the office to an undisclosed place for medical attention and his deputy, Kingsley Otuaro, was called to represent him at the event.
Since the incident the governor has not attended any public function.
Okowa is reportedly battling with unknown health challenges.
Okowa's Chief Press Secretary (CPS) Charles Aniagwu has, however debunked the story claiming it was not true.
