This is the first picture of the two-year-old toddler found dead after her teenage mother and her partner have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Staffordshire Police are today questioning Cody-Anne Jackson, 19, and a 22-year-old man named locally as her partner Paul Hogan, over the death of little Macey in Stoke-on-Trent.
Forensics officers have been combing the couple's home after police smashed their way in.
Cody-Anne's grandmother Mary Garwood last night sobbed as she described Macey as a "gorgeous" little girl who was always smiling and happy.
Being comforted by her daughter Donna Garwood at her home in Tunstall, Staffs, she said: "We just can't believe it.
"We only found out this afternoon, we still don't know what happened.
"Her mum just phoned me up and said Macey's dead and Cody-Anne's been arrested.
"We don't see much of Cody-Anne, but we're completely shocked.
"Macey was such a gorgeous child.
"We're devastated."
They were joined by other family, including Cody-Anne's mother Marie, who fell to the floor as she sobbed and said she "can't believe it".
