In an exclusive interview with E! News, the WWE broadcaster is opening up about joining the season six cast of E!'s hit show Total Divas ahead of Wednesday night's much-anticipated premiere!
"I think it's cool for people to see the Renee Young that they're used to seeing in WWE now in Total Divas just being Renee," she explains. "Just kind of getting to see me behind the curtain and all of the nonsense that comes with my life day in and day out."
She adds, "The show is a huge show, and it's done so well. Between Total Divas and Total Bellas, it's like why not? I love everybody that's on the show, so I might as well expand. Let me spread my wings and see what happens!"
Fans of the show may remember Renee's multiple appearances on the series, mostly alongside close friends Nikki Bella and Brie Bella. But did the twins offer up any words of wisdom before she signed on full-time? Surprisingly, no.
"I was lucky being able to shoot with Brie and Nicole earlier on," Renee explains. "I learned from the best. I got to see how they did it, how they handled the cameras, how they handled the way the show comes together, so I do feel lucky I was able to see that. It's definitely different when you're put in the driver's seat a little bit more."
"I didn't really ask for that much advice," she continues. "I kind of like to live and learn on my own and test the waters. I like to do things my own way."
