How “Spider Man Far From Home” Will Affect “Avengers 4” – See Release Dates

While 2019 will certainly be a great year for Marvel fans – as multiple movies are set for release – there are indications that “Spider Man Far From Home” – which is currently in filming – might affect fans’ expectations as to what to see on  “Avengers 4.”

Bear in mind that Avengers 4 will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019, followed by Spider-Man Far From Home on July 5, 2019.

Since Tom Holland’s Spider Man was wiped out by Thanos in the last instalment of the Avengers, fans are unsure quite how this was all going to work.

While some are of the opinion that the movie might be a look into the past, but, it seems like the plot of this film will follow on from the currently-untitled Avengers 4 flick.

Despite the fact Marvel Studios president Kevin Fiege hinted it could be set back in time, he had previously told Gizmodo that:

“Much happens in [Avengers 3 and 4], as you can imagine, and so much is affected by it that we felt what better person to hold your hand and lead you into the next incarnation of the MCU, in a grounded, realistic manner, than Peter Parker?”

“So, coming out two months after Untitled Avengers, [that’s what] much of what the next Spider-Man film will be about.”

Feige also talked about Spider-Man: Far From Home’s importance in the future of the franchise and how it sets up the MCU.

“Much like Ant-Man, there are things that people know about that movie, which is a great deal of the movie: the villain of the movie, the storyline of the film, that we’re shooting in Europe and that Peter Parker goes on continuing that [Captain America: Civil War] was a big giant super hero class movie.” Feige explained to ComicBook.com.

“The fall out of that in Homecoming was John Hughes and him going to his high school. So that’s what’s fun to us about the Spider-Man movies. And again going from Infinity War to Ant-Man and the Wasp, the tonal shift. So, there’s a lot of fun stuff. How it connects, where it connects, when it takes place, very similar to Ant-Man and the Wasp in that we’re not gonna say right now.”

Meanwhile, marketers are currently having to work out a ‘Spider Man strategy’ to pin down whether they’ll reveal ahead of time that Spider Man is resurrected, or just not promote the movie until after Avengers 4.
