TOWIE's James Argent lovingly brands girlfriend Gemma Collins prettier than ex Lydia Bright.

His love woes have been well-documented through his eight years in the spotlight.

And James Argent's romantic past came back to haunt him once more as he joined his girlfriend Gemma Collins on Comedy Central's Your Face or Mine, where he was grilled over who is more attractive - his current love or ex Lydia Bright.

The TOWIE star was in the hot seat in front of funnyman Jimmy Carr, who demanded to know who he fancied more, leading to the somewhat awkward response: 'They're both very attractive but Gemma’s got a prettier face.’

The premise of the Comedy Central hit sees contestants, mostly couples, challenged to guess how attractive people are based on the choices of the audience.


Gemma and Arg are the latest couple to star on the show and face the extremely awkward challenge - leading to James' confession. 

Clearly uncomfortable as they game kicked off, Gemma stated: 'She is very beautiful', before Arg said: 'I'm gonna go with Gemma' - only for host Jimmy Carr to cheekily point out: 'Well you have gone with Gemma!' 

While Arg dutifully remained with his girlfriend, the response from the audience was more tepid as she received just 10% of the vote.
