Job Title: Data Analyst

Job Description:

• Nigerian British University (NBU) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to support our Data Management Specialist Team.
• The ideal candidate will assist in collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive informed decision-making across academic and administrative units.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Data Management team in executing data-related tasks and projects.
• Clean, structure, and analyze large datasets to uncover trends and insights.
• Collaborate with departments to understand their data needs and deliver actionable outputs.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality at all times.
• Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support academic and operational goals.
• Identify data patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, charts).
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must be willing to relocate to school location.
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
• Proficiency in either R or Python for data analysis and automation.
• Excellent pattern recognition skills and a strong sense of intuition in working with data.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in higher education or institutional research is an added advantage.
