Sabrina almost gave her dolls away after cruel trolls abused her, but after a traumatic three years, she says they've helped her take a step forward
When Sabrina McKenna, 35, fell pregnant in 2011 she had begun to wonder if motherhood might never happen for her.
The ex-factory worker from County Tyrone had been trying for several years to realise her dream of having a family, and was overjoyed when she discovered she was expecting.
Her pregnancy progressed healthily and happily, and she started to prepare for her baby son.
At her 32-week scan however, Sabrina was dealt a shattering blow: "There was no heartbeat showing. I saw their faces and, before they even showed me, I knew he was gone.
"I screamed and screamed, shouting 'it's not possible'. But I knew in my heart of hearts he was gone. He was so still."
After being induced, on 28 June 2012 Sabrina's son Jamie was born asleep.
"He was perfect, beautiful. He had all his hair and nails."
Prior to Jamie's passing, Sabrina explains she had heard of reborn dolls, which are well known for looking incredibly realistic, but "thought they were just exactly that - dolls. I had never looked into it."
