The stage is set for the annual Akwa Ibom State Government carols festival, scheduled for Saturday, December 19 at Uyo Township Stadium, Uyo.
Disclosing activities lined up for the 2015 edition of the carol, Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr. Aniekan Umanah said that the event, which affords the Christian community a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Christmas in a special way, has become a major source of spiritual tourism to Akwa Ibom.
He said, “people from all walks of life, from within and outside the state and Christians across denominational lines will gather and share the joy of Christmas by singing praises to the Almighty God.”
