INEC suspends collation of election results in Bayelsa - News24

Yenagoa - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suspended further collation of the governorship election results in Bayelsa State.

The commission said it will continue with the exercise on Monday by 10am.

The commission had announced results for five out of the eight local councils in the state, before its officials announced they were discontinuing the process some few minutes after 9pm.

The results for three local governments are now being awaited. They are for Nembe, Southern Ijaw and Ogbia local government.

In the results so far released by INEC, Governor Seriake Dickson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leads his All Progressives Congress (APC) opponent, Timipre Sylva in four out of the five councils declared so far.
