‘Star Wars’ Super Fans Wed Outside Movie Theater On Release Night — See Pics


It was a wedding fit for Princess Leia, as two major ‘Star Wars’ fans celebrated the Dec. 17 premiere of ‘The Force Awakens’ by getting married! Darth Vader gave the bride away as Obi-Wan Kenobi used the Force to help the couple tie the knot. Click to see pictures of the wedding!
Yoda once said, “Do or do not, there is no try.” Caroline Ritter, and her fiancΓ©, Andrew Porter, took the Jedi master’s advice and finally said, “I do.” But for their Death Star-sized love, only getting married in a spectacular Star Wars themed wedding at the Hollywood premiere of The Force Awakens would do!

The two mega-fans sealed their love in romantic carbonite in front of the TCL Chinese theater in California on Dec. 17, reports People. Caroline was escorted down the aisle by Darth Vader as the Star Wars theme song played. What, no “Imperial March?” R2-D2 was the ring bearer and also the best man — or, in this case, “best droid.”

Stormtroopers and wookies stopped fighting to help celebrate Caroline and Andrew. The bride wore a traditional white wedding dress, complimented with crystal X-Wing starfighters, according to People. Andrew sported a sharp tux, and Jedi knights stood nearby, ready to protect him in case of an attack by Adam Driver‘s Kylo Ren and the New Order.
