#Adele is in solitary confinement and 'living on leaves' in bid to avoid tour-ending illness

ADELE has revealed she is so paranoid about getting sick during her latest tour that she is locking herself away and "living on leaves".

The 27-year-old is terrified about ruining her voice and having to cancel her 107-date world tour, which is currently stopping off at London's O2 Arena.

She said: "I've basically been in isolation because I don't want to get ill. I didn't want to take a chance with my voice.

“I've been taking echinacea four times a day. I've been on the Beroccas. I'm on a really strict regime. Basically, I'm living on leaves but I do get to eat pasta before the show because it gives me energy for when I get on stage.

She continued: "I’ve got acne. I know we all get spots but you lot ain’t got your face on a big screen like that! Imagine trying to pop a spot with these nails - you’ll do more damage."

But the singer, 27, who has three-year-old son Angelo with partner Simon Koneck, admits that she did enjoy a tipple the other day and ended up "paying for it" later when she suffered from acid reflux.

She told the Daily Mirror: "I had three glasses of white wine. I did pay for it. It’s been a while and wine does give me acid reflux."

This is Adele's first tour since 2011 when she was forced to cancel several of her shows due to throat problems.

She later had to undergo throat surgery which she had feared at the time could end her singing career.

All 750,000 tickets for the megastar’s latest jaunt sold out within an hour of going on general sale.

In New York alone 100,000 were gone in minutes as four million people tried in vain to nab seats to one of her Madison Square Garden shows.
