Man and his three female #lovers open up about living under the same roof as a 'polyfamily'

The polyamorous lovers explain everything - from what makes their relationship work to how their parents reacted

A man and his three female lovers have opened up about what life is like living in a four-way relationship.

And they all claim that sharing their love with three other people is much easier than monogamy.

Josh, Sarah and Alyssa all live under the same roof as a 'polyfamily'. Mary Ashley is also part of the relationship but still lives separately.

All four lovers are from South Carolina, and say that polyamorous relationships are not 'norm' where they live.

But despite it being difficult to be accepted in society, the family maintain that their relationship is much easier than a monogamous one.

Josh said: "We've realised everyone brings strength to the group. That's the beautiful thing."

Mary Ashley added: "It's hard to get everything you need from one person. You can find time to enjoy each other's qualities at different times.

Sarah, who was first to meet Josh, said: "It's not fair to get everything you need from one person."

But while the four lovers are happy, they admit that isn't easy when it comes to society's views on their relationship.

Mary Ashley said: "Overall, I don't feel like society accepts us."

Sadly, Sarah revealed that her family have not accepted her decision to live in a polyamorous family.

She explained: "My family views it more as a mental illness than a relationship."
