Jose Mourinho could sensationally be named Manchester United manager this summer - with Louis van Gaal working alongside him.

The former Chelsea boss has been linked with the Old Trafford post ever since he was axed at Stamford Bridge last December.

The Portuguese coach, 53, has remained coy on his future but has maintained he will return to club management this July.

United is believed to be his probable destination and according to a report by Neil Custis in The Sun , Mourinho could see himself join forces with the man he is set to succeed.
