BANKING BONKER BONKED BEFORE Shamed Lloyds boss Antonio Horta-Osorio exposed for meeting secret lover on earlier work trip in San Francisco

LLOYDS boss Antonio Horta-Osorio hooked up with his secret lover on an earlier work trip.

The shamed chief of the taxpayer-owned bank — whose Singapore jaunt with Dr Wendy Piatt was exposed by The Sun — also met her in the US.

Last night a critic said: “It’s totally unacceptable.”

The married Lloyds chief, 52, was forced to make a humiliating public apology to his 75,000 employees on Wednesday after we exposed his trip to the Far East with lover Dr Wendy Piatt.

Now it has emerged that he also hooked up with her on a second trip on company time, when the pair got together in the US last November.

In almost identical circumstances to the Singapore visit this June, Horta-Osorio attended an international banking conference, while education expert Dr Piatt, 45, told her bosses at the Russell Group she was meeting university contacts in California.

City expert Ian Fraser — author of Shredded: Inside RBS the Bank that Broke Britain — said: “His position at the bank will be severely weakened by this new scandal.

It reflects badly on him and the bank. And taxpayers won’t be impressed at all.

“Horta-Osorio has built up quite a following in the City since he has managed Lloyds since the bailout.

“But this really undermines him — especially as a second trip has emerged. He will be hugely embarrassed by these further revelations.”
