Alanis Morissette has shared her commitment to World Breastfeeding Week in an intimate snap of new-born daughter Onyx Solace.
The Canadian singer posted a snap of her baby girl across social media on Wednesday evening, little more than a month after giving birth to her second child with husband Mario ‘Souleye’ Treadway on June 23rd.
Captioning the intimate shot, in which she breastfeeds the six-week old, Alanis made a reference to Oxytocin – a medication commonly used to contract the uterus and initiate labour in pregnant women.
'1/#worldbreastfeedingweek oxytocin connected-with-life bliss #connection #attachment #skinonskin #illbeyourkeeperforlifeasyourguardian’ she wrote.
The singer posted her latest snap as the annual World Breastfeeding Week entered its third day after launching on August 1st.
Her latest snap comes a month after she posted her first photo of Onyx, showing the infant snuggled at her beast with the caption: 'She's here! onyx solace morissette-treadway June 23 2016 #beyondblessed.'
The 42-year-old Jagged Little Pill hit maker went public with her happy baby news just a few days after posting a naked photo of herself with her swollen belly in a swimming pool.
Alanis and her musician husband Mario tied the knot in 2010.
After announcing her second pregnancy in April she posted an animated video and song that ends with the couple, along with their son, gazing at ultrasound images of their new addition.
